Animated Artwork
motion graphics
The project consisted of adding movement to one piece of choice from the ones displayed in the museum. I chose Andrew Ellis Johnson’s Providence as the artwork to be animated. The goal of my project was to fractionate the components that make up the piece and then reintegrating them right in front of one’s eyes as if it was a frame of movie moving vertically.
This project was created to be exposed in the screens outside the Godwin-Ternbach Museum of Queens College to invite students to visit the artworks inside the museum during the launch of Queens College’s new School of Arts with an “Art Walk” that highlighted activities of the School of Arts and Humanities.
